Resin-containing pigment concentrate based on iron oxide red PR 101, ketone resin, TEGO® Dispers 655 and TEGO® Dispers 670

The solvent-based pigment concentrate based on BAYFERROX® 140 M achieved by this formulation contains a ketone resin and can be used for tinting of a broad variety of solvent-based coatings. Colorants based on TEGO® Dispers 670 usually show an almost Newtonian flow behavior. In this case the formulation contains TEGO® Dispers 655 as co-additive to generate pseudoplastic flow behavior and avoid sedimentation. The colorant has a low influence on water resistance and hardness and can be used for general and premium industrial coatings. Pigment loading and additive dosage are developed for grinding purposes. Pigment loading and rheology might need to be adjusted for use in a dispenser.
